A Google VP of engineering recently referred to Steve Jobs and Apple as the big brother from 1984…
The idea was that in 2006, Android, Google’s mobile platform, was an underdog in an important industry in which the dominant company would be the proverbial big brother and bring a “draconian future”.
So, Google is going to stop Apple from doing something Google wishes to achieve?
Am I reading to far into this?
Oh, and Google keeps accusing Apple of being closed while Google is “open”… All they really are saying is: our propietary OS can run on any Linux machine, while Apple OS can only run on Apple devices….
This is an issue for hardware manufacturers, not consumers…
I feel if people were more aware of this, Google wouldn’t keep attacking Apple with the “open” tout.
