“I’m confident that the Justice Department is figuring out how to prosecute him,” says former CIA general counsel Harold H. Koh.
“Him” refers to Julian Assange, the guy who lives in his personal barracks-like space in Iceland with his servers in France.
Why are the Feds so interested in charging him now, as opposed to when he leaked US Aghanistan war documents and many other national security-threatening secrets?
Because this time, he’s going after the banks.
To get a sneak peak of what you’ll find out from Assange, check out this trailer, and then see the movie if you haven’t already.
In this film, we find that investment banks and firms are helping many of the organizations you probably wouldn’t want your kids to join after college, if you know what I mean. And bank leader are shown to do this shamelessly (no, you don’t say, right?)… What they are shameful of is in the documents Assange will release via Forbes soon.
Assange is like a societal virus… malignant or benign is in the eye of the beholder.
One of our funding fathers, Benjamin Franklin, has a quote I think the banks and Washington should have thought about before the leak: “Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.”
Many more than 1 person knew these secrets… so, it was only a matter of time… and here we go.
