Line2 is an app by Toktumi that allows cellphone users to auto-detect WiFi connectivity and automatically switch to a WiFi network during a conversation to save on minutes (with your unlimited data plan, and all).
In fact, if you want to keep an iPhone as a landline, you can just use Line2 to turn your wireless internet into a phone line.
AT&T’s best move here, in my opinion, is to develop a better version of Line2, grab up subscribers from other non-WiFi-auto-switching-to-save-ya-money telecom networks, eat margins, but see great net profits from the larger subscriber-base. Ya can’t beat certain disruptive technologies. This is an opportunity for AT&T.
