Tips I’d give someone based on my limited 2-day experience:

  • Maybe take a cigarette break, even if you don’t usually smoke cigarettes, because alot of cool entrepreneurs, marketers, and developers smoke like chimneys, and often a smoke break loosens SXSWers up and can create a more social interaction than what you’d get inside. (I’m not advocating smoking… do like Bill Clinton, and just don’t inhale)
  • If you’re going to SXSW to network, the best places don’t look like this.

  • Set up alot of meetings before you arrive, and there’s no telling who they might introduce you to after.
